ASWATNA: Aswatna is a New York based group creating a platform for political discussion around representation in the Palestinian diaspora. We aim to empower Palestinians as active agents, in an effort to affirm our identity and unity as Palestinians. The Diaspora is not a liability to be negotiated; our diverse experiences are an asset in the struggle for Palestinian self determination. We work to attain direct involvement in Palestinian electoral processes rather than continue to stand by as third parties, despite the borders that separate us. No sustainable solution can be achieved without including ASWATNA -- all of our voices.
